When a fisherman yells “fish on” it is courteous to lift your line out of the water so that lines are not crossed. If the fish comes off the hook or snaps the line or the fish is lost it is courteous to yell “fish off” so others know they can return back to fishing.
About Salmon River Newbie
I'm Salmon River Newbie, a city boy who grew up in NYC and I'm a beginning fisherman who has become obsessed with learning how to fish on the Salmon River in Pulaski NY.
