The rain and the cooler weather seemed to have triggered some movement in the fish. The Douglaston Salmon Run which is at the bottom of the river or closer to the lake is reporting on their facebook page that one of their patrols is spotting 100 kings.
Another source is reporting that there are people congregating by the Route 3 bridge. Based on my limited experience I’ve learned that things can change quickly so they can start moving right away or they can hold or they can start running the river very fast.
The question is should you drive up now? If you live nearby like I do you should start planning if you are farther away you should wait until we get further reports.
