Douglaston Salmon Run Daily Fishing Report

September 22, 2017 by Salmon River Newbie Leave a Comment

interim fishing report 22 Sep 17
9/22/2017

clients coming off the run, as of 11:00 AM, have, without exception, made statements that the fishing was “awesome . . . simply awesome . . .!!”and “although I am just starting out salmon fishing this has been the best day ever . . . I could not keep them off the hook!” – River Patrol reports as of 10:30 AM were that the flow into the river has essentially slowed down to a trickle, but there are a good amount of fish still present n the lower section providing plenty of action, the middle section is still active with some parts slowed a bit and other parts seeing a lot of fish movement and fishing activity (corresponding to the client statements), the upper part reporting much slower activity – this is turning out to be one of those days where, tomorrow, people will be saying “you should have been here yesterday . . . !”
