Here’s tonight’s fishing report. Most guests reported the fishing to be good with several hookups and a few fish landed. Today’s catch included a nice mix of salmon, coho, and steelhead. Our River Patrol reported a good amount of fish at the Joss hole and the Clay hole including some brown trout. The mid and upper portion of the run was most productive throught the day.
The posted water release from the Salmon River reservoir is currently 335 cubic feet per second thru midnight. The recorded water flow at the USGS Streamflow gauge on the Salmon River at Pineville is currently 436 cubic feet per second.
The most recent water temperature taken at the DSR was the morning of October 7th. The water temperature at that time was 60 degrees.
The weather forecast for tomorrow calls for periods of rain with the possibility of heavy rainfall accumulating about an inch of rain. Tomorrows high is 69 degrees with a low of 58 degrees.Fishing Report Oct 8 First of Day
10/8/2017At 8:45 reports from the run indicate that there is not a lot of fish movement except at the upper end of the run, however other sections are holding fish and many of our anglers hooking up. Mostly kings with a few trout here and there. Some rain has moved out of the area and it’s now shaping up to be another beautiful fall day.
