The Shelf ice is gone from the run however I had several reports that the snow and ice covered banks are as high as 5′ and may be problematic when fishing your chosen lye. Even with the colder Temperatures and light snowfall, melting is continuing at a nice pace, ie., not to fast! The Little Black stoneflies are hatching and that would be a good bet for the feather and fur gang. One angler has reported getting some fish swinging flies on floating lines. The egg sack fishermen are having a tough time today as well as the other anglers who fished the run. There is still some anchor ice so use caution and contain your excitement with a good dose of common sense.”
