Douglaston Salmon Run Daily Fishing Report

February 16, 2015 by Salmon River Newbie Leave a Comment

Published 2/15/2015

no brave souls tried fishing today – these have been tough days to be any fish in the waters, as well . . . temperature has hovered at 0 degrees all day long – fairly windy, blowing the very light, granular lake effect snow into drifts that leave some areas bare and others drifted deeply – tough driving conditions, especially whiteouts across and adjacent to flatlands – dangerous wind chills in that it numbs you immediately and you may not even notice extremities freezing – temperature will slowly drop overnight to a low of -15 degrees a little after dawn tomorrow – it will then “warm” up to a high of 3 degrees and again drop to 9 below zero degrees – we will get some relief Wednesday and Thursday when temperatures climb back into the 20s, with snow flurries those days – CFS continues to be steady at 285 (damn) and 428 (Pineville)
