Fishing Report For Salmon River September 25th 2019

September 26, 2019 by Salmon River Newbie Leave a Comment

This is the year of predictions. Everyone is trying to make predictions. The newspaper and different Facebook groups have been trying to predict which day the big push was going to come. A few more days are remaining in September and it seems like everything is lining up for that big push every single time it seems like fish continue to trickle in. However, in the last few days instead of tricking they have been spurting in.

Rain, cooler nights and wind are all of the right ingredients to make the big push however the fish continue to play coy.

Anglers reported that the DSR was back on the normal schedule of early morning and late afternoons. However, anglers who moved were rewarded with spurts of fish that they were able to get on.

As September is about to end there is more fishing pressure. The ballpark was fishing well today with spurts of fish coming through. Not everyone could get into them but a majority did.

The fish that had been trickling in have started to accumulate and the larger pools up are full of fish. Recommend you use lighter line and smaller flys.
