Fish continued to enter the river and received a mishmash of reports. Anglers seemed to say it was dead and others said it was great. However, everyone seemed to get an opportunity to get fish. The lower river seemed like it was quieter than upriver. Guides reported again that there was lots of fish from Pineville to Ellis Cove. Most consistent reports were from upriver with the fast water and deep pools being productive.
Fishing Reports By Zones.
Lake Ontario
Reports are coming in that the Estuary is filling up tonight. However, fish have been fickle when they start their movement, so there is no guarantee that fish burst in the morning or throughout the day. Douglaston Salmon Run reports have been showing that fish are trickling in the early morning and late afternoons.
Douglaston Salmon Run Fishing Report
Received different reports from anglers and their reports were much more positive then what Douglaston Salmon Run was reporting. Most anglers had multiple hookups and brought fish to hand. The anglers that reported were all in different parts of the property and they all reported a good day despite the sun.
Staircase, Long Bridge, Town, and Ball Park
Long Bridge and Ball Park fished well today but the deeper pools in Town were not as productive.
81, 2A, Pineville, Sportsman, Trestles, Altmar and Fly Zones
The action today was in the upper midriver to the upper river. School House and Fly Zones were doing well. The fish that have been trickling in are moving up and filling up the upper river getting ready to spawn.
Oswego Fishing Report
Reports from Oz Angling are showing that the skein bite on the wall is starting to turn on.
Oak Orchard Fishing Report
There are fish at the dam, and a few fish are downstream by the Archery Club.
Burt Dam Fishing Report
Received some unconfirmed reports that anglers were getting into some fish at the dam and some kings were caught by the trestles.
