Salmon River Fishing Report Summary September 22 2016

September 22, 2016 by Salmon River Newbie Leave a Comment

salmonrivermap-9-22Just spoke with some fishermen and looking at the latest report here is what I’m currently hearing.
Things have slowed down today and it looks like the last few days were really good. Seems that fish are starting to move up river but they are spread out. As we have discussed there is no fish stacking up in any one section of the river. Fish are moving in small numbers but they seem to be consistently moving through sections.

The best places are still going to be downstream from 2A down and upper DSR, Little Black Hole, Black Hole, Staircase and Town Pool and Ball Park being the most consistent. There are fish in the upper river but they are either moving through pretty fast or they have hanging in the large cooler holes. If I wanted to stay away from the crowds and fish up river I would try south side of the Sportsman Hole and also try Ellis Cove.
