As of early this morning it was actually raining with scattered showers moving through the area. Friday was another hot and sunny day with the temperature reaching into the mid 70’s. The fishing pressure picked up as anglers started arriving for the long holiday weekend. The anglers we spoke with who fished the mid to upper end of the river reported having a slow day and that the most action was first thing in the morning and then the fish spent the rest of the day holding in the deeper holes. The best reports came from the lower end of the river with anglers getting into fish at the DSR, Black Hole, Staircase, Town Pool, Ballpark and Papermill. Anglers we have staying in the motel who fished the DSR reported having another very good day with a steady movement of kings throughout the day.
