Happy Easter. On Easter Sunday the shop will be open in the morning and closed in the afternoon. On Friday we had another warm and sunny day with the temperature reaching into the 50’s. With the recent warm weather we lost a lot of snow and were getting off colored runoff in the mid to lower end of the river. As of this morning the temperature was in the 30’s along with wet snow showers. Yesterday anglers we had staying in the motel reported having another good day in the Upper and Lower Fly Zone with nymphs and egg patterns producing the best results. The upper end of the river between Altmar and Pineville continues to produce the most action but is also getting the most fishing pressure. The mid to lower end of the river would be a good choice if your trying to avoid the crowds.
